The Briar Rooms
When longtime clients of Meagan Cooperman entered a new season of life as empty nesters, they were ready to reimagine the spaces that had long belonged to their three sons. With the boys now grown, the rooms no longer needed to function as childhood bedrooms. Instead, they became an opportunity: to create sophisticated guest suites that reflected the layered elegance of the rest of the home, while still feeling deeply welcoming to each son returning with future partners, fiancés, and eventually families of their own.
The result is The Briar Rooms: a collection of three entirely distinct guest retreats, each with its own mood, palette, and personality, yet all tied together by the signature aesthetic Cooperman & Co. Interiors is known for — rich layering, livable luxury, warmth, and collected details.
Black Fox Haven takes a moodier approach, playing with contrast, depth, and drama while remaining intimate and inviting. The Illusive Green Retreat introduces an earthier spirit, where nuanced green tones mingle with warm woods and copper accents to create a space that feels both grounded and transportive. The Smoky Beige Sanctuary embraces tonal softness and understated elegance, balancing warm neutrals with a textural wallcoverings and curated artwork to evoke the calm sophistication of a boutique hotel retreat.
Together, the rooms tell a larger story about how homes evolve alongside the families who live in them. Rather than erasing the history of the boys who grew up there, the redesign honors the emotional continuity of the home while elevating the spaces for adulthood, hospitality, and future generations of gathering.
